The Cocoa Beach Country Club, Baytree National, Duran Golf Club, and the Major’s Golf Club are among the challenging courses that were designed by famous golf legends.
The 27 championship holes of the Cocoa Beach Country are set in the pristine and environmentally-sensitive area that is next to the Indian River Lagoon. The three courses in the Dolphin layout is composed of a par 71, 6,393 yards of gold tees, 5,496 yards of red tees, and 5,952 yards of blue tees. The entire public course was designed Charles Ankrom and was built in 1968.
The par 72 course with almost 7,200 yards from the tips at Baytree was laid out by the famous Gary Player. The design was finished with playable fairways mounded on the sides with moguls in a link style. Fairways on the other hand are lined up right next to the other. The entire layout also challenges every golfer with the 82 white sand bunkers and the unique coquina waste areas.
The Duran Golf Club was laid on to what was once a fertile sod farm. This soils foundation of the course has created the plushest playing surfaces that golfers from all over Central Florida are excited about. Golfers are expected to take on the challenges of the sweeping doglegs, sparkling lakes and ponds, rolling terrains, and the undulating greens. This par 72, 7,151-yard championship golf is East Coast’s newest golf masterpiece.
The Majors Golf Club designed by Arnold Palmer has been considered as Florida Space Coast’s most challenging golf course. The entire layout is over 7,300 yards from the tips and over 5,000 yards from the Front Tees. There is an array of spectacular golf holes including the par 3 #15 island green. The Majors features the rolling hills and trees that are reminiscent of the Carolinas.
